As an environmental engineer, a lot of the permitting work I do, and monitoring and verification of compliance with permit conditions is governed by our Federal Rules: 40CFR Part ** Subpart ** ; and lots of others. The MACT, for example is 40CFR Part 63.
OSHA, is in another chapter or the CFR, and MSHA, Code of Federal Regulations, hoo ya.
Remember, I am an environmental engineer. So I look at things logically, from a balanced engineering point of view. Politically, I am a Constitutionalist; all day long, every day and year.
Therefore I will now address the budget, or “government shutdown”.
It’s dinner time here on the “left” coast so I’m not going to do a bunch of research. I’m just going to put this out there based on my memory of the Constitution of the United States of America.
I seem to remember one of the only legislative products required each year, of the U.S. Congress to produce, is to succeed in producing a budget. If they don’t choose to produce, they are breaking Federal Law. Their fault.
I’m o.k. with a, or every, Congress producing no new laws, we have enough. That is not do nothing, it is Balance of Powers. I’m not o.k. with Congress blowing off their Constitutional Responsibilities and blaming, waa, our and their, all U.S. of A.’s Citizen’s. President Donald Trump for their failures to complete their Constitutional Responsibilities.
