I Call it a Baby-Solar Rig.

Happy Weekend Folks:

Friday night here in west Los Angeles and I’ve been out both weekend nights the last three weekends. Had a lot of fun, good company and good food, live music, dancing, bicycling, and dining with some class-A women and friends: So I’m doing some science this weekend, and hiking and car-work.

This weekend I will upload a video highlighting what I refer to as, “A Baby-Solar Rig”. For under $1,000.00 dollars, you can have a little safe, parallel, system for: backup power, daily money saving off your power bill cost, and good, clean fun.

Did you watch the Dodgers in the playoffs last fall when there was a power outage during the game? At Chavez Ravine the power was out for only twenty minutes at the beginning of the game. In this West Los Angeles neighborhood, the power was out ’till the 7th or 8th inning. However, my buddy and I enjoyed the whole game and cold beer from my ‘frig, uninterrupted thanks to my Baby-Solar Rig.

I found it so strange that I was the only one on the block enjoying the game with my Solar Rig. There are a lot of very expensive homes on this street; all were in a total power black-out. When I asked one neighbor how she and her family fared, she said they used candles. Hey I love candles; I just want the option to enjoy them. And I kind of prefer oil burning lamps for ambience and safety. I especially like the cherry scented oils. Hooya.

So we will debut EarthHouse’s first website video this weekend on this important subject of backup/supplemental solar power that certainly applies to both rural and citified (urban) applications.

Randy.
